How to play: 5 Card Stud
The classic poker game 5 card stud poker is one of the oldest poker games.
The rules are quite simple...
The players are dealt one card face down (the hold card) and one card up (the up or door card).
Players then have a betting round before the dealer gives out a new up card.
Once all players have 5 cards each there is a final round of betting and the player with the highest hand wins the pot.
5 card stud was invented way back in the 1850s, but it is still enjoyed by a large number of players. 5 card stud is relaively simple in comparison with some of the other poker derivatives which is attractive to new poker players.
And 5 card stud is a great introduction into the world of 7 card stud. :)

Hi there Moody. I was searching for the latest information on advertising hits and somehow, which I don't understand, found your site. Although your How to play: 5 Card Stud wasn't what I was exactly interested in, I'm sure glad I found it. It's really amazing how, on the Internet, you can sit down and look for one thing, such as advertising hits and advertising hits yet find totally unrelated interesting stuff and spend hours reading about stuff other than what you were searching for. I'll keep on looking for advertising hits but I just had to comment on how much I enjoyed reading the comments here.
